I feel I have finished my research and got everything I need now before I start filming im going to a couple of mock up designs of my CD Cover and CD Back.

So far I have been doing little short interviews with the members of the music video and how they feel about the song, Ideas and the music video. Hopefully they will be posted soon and will be creating a time schedule for me to film the music video, talking to the members etc.

Target Audience

My target audience is pretty much the whole pop world because this song is such a big song that everybody know then most people will want to listen and see the video. With that being said a big chunk of my audience will be The Calling audience and fans. This is one of The Callings biggest and emotional songs so anybody who likes pop music will listen to this song. There characteristics will probably ranging from anything because this type of Genre is something everybody likes

So Far I have made progress on the ideas and planning out of my Music Video. I have nearly finished my storyboard and hopefully will be put up by next week. I will be taking pictures this friday and sautrday and mabye attempting abit of filming to see what Ideas will work and what won't.

I did a quick survey on which colour scheme would be a good colour scheme for my Music Video. It looks like colour scheme 1 was the favaourite out of them all so I think I will be using Colour scheme 1 to use for my music video.

This album is from the new album from Foo Fighters "Wasting Light". This is the first album they have done with the newest edition to the band. This album is really good because it shows you all the band merged together. This is smart because all the long time fans of this will know what the band have doen with bringing the old member back in. I don't think I will use anything from this album to put on my album as I don't think it would suit the type of band I am putting across.

Here is the album cover from James Morrison "Broken Strings". What I like about this album cover is that is shows off the artist because thats what its all about in this. It is pretty much the same as the Jake Johnson Album very calm and laid back and that's what I would like to try and achieve

This album cover is from Jack Johnson and What I like about this cover is that it's simple because it's not to crowded or too in your face, it just stays back and has a calm feeling which I think works really well with this type of acoustic song.

Here is the album cover from Ellie Goulding "Lights". This cover is great because it ilistartes the artist in a calm manner but also shows the title in there which is something I would like to do. It also works well because there isn't much going on and this is just like the Jack Johnson cover which is something I would like to try and achieve on my album cover.

This album cover is from Coldplay "Parachutes". I don't like it that much because I don't get it really since the album name is Parachutes but it shows a globe? I don't get it but I thought it would be good for me to see Coldplay albums since my song is from who is close to the same type of music the calling are.

Here Tyler ward has been shown as happy and cheerful because the song is such a happy song then the artist has been made to act that way. This type of music video is conventional to Tyler ward so this is a Technic I might try and use.

The artists are represented in a dark environment to make them seem serious. This is very unconventional for this artist because normally he is very hypo and energetic but for this song he needs be serious are that's how they have been represented.

The band is shown as very positive and happy which is different to a rock band but that's because Bon Jovi has always been different from main stream rock. This is the same all the way through the music video.

The lyrics are telling a story about how we don't have to follow everybody else and that your find the way you are and the music video is going through clips of people with disabilities realising their dream and people who have made it.

their isn't much between the music and the images, the music is pretty much the same all the way through and the clips just play really so it fits well but doesn't slow down or speed up just normal through the video.

Artist shown as hurt and depressed because he has lost someone and he lives on his own. At the end you see him going in to the big black hole which I think means he's going to follow her and this is shown all the way through.

The lyrics are telling a story of a man losing his friend or love and the images are acting that out so the audience understands the story.

How are the band/ artist represented? Is this similar across the video?

The artist is kind of mixed because it can be a nice song but then can be abit upsetting so in some places she will act upset but then in some places will act happy and this is through the whole video

The images are showing a story and it is acting out the story on what it means to her.

Inspiration

My inspiration came from fellow artists such as Coldplay and Jack Johnson. I love the acoustic sound and these have made such great hits that I love to cover them. I have chosen a big song from Coldplay "Fix You" and I will be researching mainly these two artists to get ideas on how to do this song.

Started a draft of my storyboard today and done more on it also been looking at more Acoustic videos to give me inspiration on my music videos and will be posted soon.
